  6. DarkSideSixOfficial You're not entirely correct. America was never supposed to be multi-cultural. That's why its referred to as a melting pot, not a salad bowl. Multi-ethnic, yes, multi-cultural no. The idea is that the new arrivals would adopt American culture and values and adding a bit of their own flavor to the American stew. Not remain as their own little cultural enclave inside larger American society.
