  7. JustAsPlanned1 Actually, Donbas has been a part of the Russian Empire since the 1700s. It's been Russian longer than America has been American. Crimea was originally conquered by the Russian Empire from the Crimean Khanate which was a leftover from the Mongolian invasions of the region. Again, it has been Russian since then.

  17. JustAsPlanned1 The point is that the people who live and lived in Donbas were never Ukrainian. The traditional borders of Ukraine never included Donbas or the Crimean peninsula. They were only added to the borders of the Ukrainian Socialist Republic under the Soviet Union for administrative reasons in the 1960s. At the end of the day, self determination is a human right protected by the UN charter. Any attempt to circumvent those rights is a crime against humanity.

They were putting down the Ukrainian threat to their naval bases in Crimea and enforcing the decision of the third referendum that the Crimean people have had in the past two decades declaring independence from Ukraine. I was born in Kiev fucktard. I have family on both sides of the question. The bottom line is that it is no more moral for Ukraine to march troops into Donbas than it was for Hitler to march into Austria.

  27. Yolo Swaggins MH17 was shot down by anti-air missiles. Ukraine had the same missiles and could have just as easily fired them. The point is that the airliner had no business operating over a combat zone. You can't walk onto a battlefield and then bitch when you get shot.

  28. Yolo Swaggins Yeah... The point is that the Ukrainian government put that plane in airspace where they had recently lost combat aircraft. That makes it their fault as they could have easily routed the plane around the disputed airspace. Instead, they sent in a civilian aircraft into the area so they could use its radar signature for cover to cary out military strikes against civilian targets.
