Last time I checked, it wasn't called the Bill of Needs.

W-James 1. Bullshit. There are over 500,000 defensive gun uses in the US per year according to the CDC and less than 10,000 homicides according to the FBI. 2. If your gun is not in a readily accessible place or on your hip, you're going it wrong. 3. Yeah... Irrelevant. You break into my house, you're leaving in a bag. 4. Bullshit. France had more dead in mass shooting in 2015 than the US. Ganbangers banging don't count. 5. Is that why Mexico is swarming with guns? 6. Yeah... You're more likely to be hit by lightning. 400 people hit by lightning in the US, less that 200 fatal gun accidents TOTAL. 7. Yes... So we should lock everyone up in a mental institution to be sure? I mean how do we know some random guy won't get a truck and run over a bunch of people? (Worse casualties than any mass shooting in US history, BTW)

There is no such thing as an "accidental" discharge with any gun made after 1950 or so. It is designed to be mechanically impossible. For the gun to go bang, you need to put your booger hook on the bang switch.
8
***** Son... I'm almost 40 years old and served eight years in the Marine Corps. You really need to direct your comments more precisely.
5
.l. He seems to think that there were no armed robberies in New York prior to 1850 or so.
4
Joe Spencer That's not an accident. That's negligence and it's so rare as to be statistically rounded to zero. When weighed agains the constitutional rights of tens of millions of gun owners? It doesn't even register on the fucking scale.
3
Fobaku TheAnimeFob By your logic ANY gun can "military grade" almost every gun currently in production has been used by a military somewhere at some point. Hell, your most common hunting rifles use a Mauser action identical to the most common rifles of WWI and WWII. I'm actually far less concerned about a guy with an AR slung over his shoulder than some guy with a Glock shoved down the front of his pants.
3
killercaos123 Because it's hard to get your jackboot on the throat of an armed man.
3
It's not really all that complicated. Shall not be infringed. End of discussion.
3
ftw522 Slam fires only happen because you neglected to clean your fucking gun. I've never had a properly maintained gun slam fire on me in almost 30 years of shooting guns for work and play.
2
Doc A result of negligence is not an accident, by definition fucktard.
2
GothaBillsAndDeath It's pretty much always appropriate to be armed provided you're not reckless or somewhere you're not supposed to be. That's what the BEAR part of keep and bear arms means.
2
Krixig If you look at the laws in question, calling them pro "right to keep and bear arms" is a joke. It's easier to get a gun legally in NYC than in Hitler's Germany.
2
Sue Mitchel-Runow Why? It's not those people that are causing the problems. People with arsenals and tons of ammo stockpiled have the disposable income to not really have a reason to kill anyone. I own dozens of guns. The only time I have killed people is when they were trying to kill me. None of those times involved my own personal firearms.
2
Yeah... Funny how the only reason guns are not allowed inside the convention hall itself is because the DNC pushed through a stupid exception in the gun statutes.
2
Aesop Mädness Yeah... Crime happens. What's your point?
1
Doc No, you can't. Negligence is not an accident.
1
Fobaku TheAnimeFob Some of us know how to separate real threats from imagined ones. A guy with a rifle slung over his shoulder is less likely to go on a rampage than he is to break out in a rendition of Carmen.
1
Doc Yeah... Tell me more about why there is no such thing as an "accidental discharge" in the military.
1
Ekama Noieau "Long?" You mean like a dozen entries? Fuck off.
1
Doc If you don't like our constitution, stay the fuck out of our country.
1
***** It's not my problem. My rights trump your opinions or demands.
1
***** I call bullshit. 1. The problem is that we don't execute our criminals the way they deserve. 2. Where is your evidence about the homeless?
1
***** Yeah... It is for first world countries that like to stay first world countries. It's one of the reason that Europe is currently a rancid pile of shit.
1
thesweatleaf That's great, and along with $5 it'll get you a cup of coffee. There's a lot more to tactical gun use than being able to put the bullet on target from a nice bench in perfect conditions with no stress and infinite time.
1
thesweatleaf "kill zones"? You mean 0 sectors of USPSA targets right? Please, nobody who shoots for real uses irons on rifles. I don't think the irons on half my rifles are even zeroed. But I'm sure you can tell me the difference between a tactical reload and a normal one.
1
***** Not really. Go look at the UK.
1
***** Yes... Because Russia is not a part of Europe either...
1
thesweatleaf Really? What MOS, what unit? 1371 2nd CEB in my case.
1
***** The reason the USMC is put on a pedestal is because we are the best regular service combat troops on the planet. To find a better unit, you'd have to go to special forces in other countries.
1
***** Here you go. http://www.germanjoys.eu/2015/10/violent-crime-is-more-common-in-europe-than-the-usa.html ... and yes, criminals killing criminals is not something I'm particularly concerned about.
1
thesweatleaf Yeah, these days they train everyone on ACOGs from recruit training up. I know how to use iron, I just don't because red dots are faster and magnified optics are more precise.
1
thesweatleaf I just haven't heard anybody use "kill zone" for over a decade. My apologies. That being said, I think "lefty Marine" is a bit of an oxymoron. You can't be a Marine and have the utter contempt for the Constitution that is displayed by the modern left.
1
thesweatleaf I did say MODERN leftism? Did I not?
1
thesweatleaf 1. Progressive taxes are inherently in violation of the concept of equality before the law. 2. Yeah... They don't have those kinds of balls. They are not retarded enough to start a trade war with us. (Somehow, I doubt those same tariffs will be applying to China, the world's worst polluter.) 3. Please tell the South Koreans about how fortified borders don't work. 4. You seem to believe that lions should be concerned with the opinions of sheep. 5. "Political disagreements" where Obama had numerous funding bills on his desk that he refused to sign. Nice revisionist history there. 6. Banning same sex marriage is not discrimination as it applies to everyone regardless of sexual orientation. Marriage has a very specific social purpose. Creating stable environments for the raising of children. Something gays are biologically incapable of. You're delusional bro.
1
thesweatleaf Ok... Now you're just pulling shit out of your ass. Enjoy eight years of President Trump. I'm done trying to educate your dumb ass. If you have any EGA tattoos on your ass, please feel free to remove them with a cheese grater. You don't rate then anymore.
1
thesweatleaf Yes it is, that's why I gave you my rank at separation. You do realize that it is very common for people to separate at E6 when they more or less go in as E3? Right?
1
thesweatleaf I will when you don't start your arguments with fallacies.
1
***** Yeah... Bullshit.
1
That assumes you trust the cops. The point of the matter is that if you don't exercise your right, it quickly becomes a privilege. Notice how nobody was shot.
1
killercaos123 Yes... Because a retired Marine totally gives a shit about what other people think... or needs to compensate for something... Fuck off.
1
killercaos123 His motivations are to remind people that the 2nd amendment is a thing and you don't get to fuck with it.
1
killercaos123 No, there are not. If you don't like the Constitution of the United States, you can propose an amendment, get the fuck out, or shut the fuck up.
1
Krixig Yeah... The "rights" were not expanded, Hitler just used it as a fig leaf to arm his followers. The average german was as disarmed as ever.
1
Aesop Mädness Really? You're going to go by the guys that counted an airsoft gun incident as a "mass shooting"? How about we just go with the FBI data standard?
1
Collin Hennessy Um... are you high? You have the right to defend yourself against any violent felony with lethal force anywhere in the country. A snatch and grab IS a violent felony because it involves an assault. I can't see a way that someone can steal anything from you without breaking into your home or assaulting you first.
1
Collin Hennessy Yes, and you can use lethal force in the defense of others from a violent crime. It's not rocket science. Let's take the example of Illinois. (one of the most anti-gun states in the union) In Illinois you can use lethal force in the defense of yourself or others from any violent felony. Such circumstances grant you complete criminal and civil immunity from prosecution provided you can prove that a violent felony did or was about to take place.
1
Collin Hennessy It is if you're in a position to stop it. Give me one example where a theft could not legaly escalate to lethal force. Don't forget that you have the right to use non-lethal force to stop almost ANY crime.
1
Joseph R. Moore How does 500,000 defensive gun uses per year (according to the CDC) work for you?
1
Joseph R. Moore Sure... Original study http://www.nap.edu/read/18319/chapter/1 Article summarizing the results. http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/crime/item/15941-cdc-study-ordered-by-obama-contradicts-white-house-anti-gun-narrative
