  7. An excellent family-village analogy on China! But Mr. Washington’s decision is not complete. The real problem is not many of our media see Mr. BJ as such a bad parent for ALL of his people but only selectively, esp towards certain minorities or individuals. Thus, millions of lives lost during the last 70yrs seemed didn’t mean anything to some people who continue want to do business with them. The media need to be educated about what Mr BJ really did since its establishment, not just sporadic recent facts.

  40. Though Hua was named by Mao, he didn’t have experience in military and too young. Few older generation military officials respected him, while Deng was one of those who started with Mao from the very beginning and experienced on battlefields. Hua only arrested the Gang of Four under the pressures from the older military officials and also Deng though Deng wasn’t quite in full power, yet. That’s why Hua had to step down and it was the right thing perceived by most Chinese then.

Here is a statement I saw from someone online and I think all non Chinese who had the fantasies should know, “When I was young, I was taught to strengthen the motherland so nobody could take advantage of us anymore; after I grew up, I realized that with a stronger motherland, nobody would dare to save us (from it).” What a hopeless and helpless statement!
