  1. We’re at a very early stage of the Ukrainian counter offensive, but I reckon any objective person would have to describe it, so far at least, as either failing to impress or an actual failure. The only evidence we have so far (Russian) of the Ukrainian advance in the Zaporizhizhia is of destroyed Ukrainian armoured vehicles, including Leopard tanks.

  2.  @apc9714  All those factors are important, but to assume the Russians have no moral, or no good weaponry etc, is to stretch credulity. If I were one of the poor Ukrainian troops going up against well entrenched positions of a foe that has air superiority, artillery superiority, bigger troop numbers and has had a year to dig in, I’d be terrified. This is a defence that Russia *should*, on paper, win, but let’s see what happens. I know little about militarily tactics etc, but I do know these things are usually really difficult to predict.

  3. I don’t know if Europe will split from the US, but I do know one thing… if it was left to US poodle Britain it would never happen. Brit governments may differ with each other now and again, but not when it comes to brownnosing Murica.
