@henkhenkste6076 Who’s job is it to make society better? At least governments are meant to be doing that.

@henkhenkste6076 Isn’t that like saying the passengers should drive the bus? Society is a highly complex, gigantic machine. I agree it would be a better world if people were better, but that’s a bit Utopian, is it not?

After Robert Burns visited the ‘’romantic’’ rural Scottish Highlands from his home in the, at the time, ‘’modern’’ Lowlands in the 18th century, he wrote ‘’There’s naethin there but Hielan pride, an Hielan cauld and hunger’’. I’m sure no translation required.
