@naelberg7356 There has never been a peace deal that has offered the Palestinians any kind of functional state. Nor can there be, as it would require Israel to evict over half a MILLION settlers for such a state to come into existence, when the govt. has struggled to get the will to remove even a few hundred. There was just a war concluded between Azerbaijan and Armenia over an Armenian-dominated separatist region that wasn't even connected to Armenia. That's a taste of the kind of ridiculous 'peace' Palestine has been asked to accept, except in their case it'd be filled with even more holes and gaps.

@adammasters684 'when Israel picked the Israeli govt. to lead them they gave up any realistic prospect of peace, and without a realistic shot at peace all that's left is violence. So though it doesn't excuse the Hamas for its many horrible action this is the war that Israels' government who were elected by it's people wanted.' - Touche!

"This attack on Israel didn’t occur in a vacuum" - it's more immediate than that. Hamas' attack was called Operation Al-Aqsa Flood - that name is a direct reference to Israeli actions just earlier this year that anyone can look up. The occupation and decades of oppression is a thing yes, but there's also a more immediate provocation that led to it.

Assuming it can destroy Hamas. All it's ever achieved over the years is getting ever more groups arrayed against it. It fought a war with Hezbollah over a decade ago, and yet Hezbollah is even stronger now than it was back then.

Ah yes, you improve an economy by blockading it and turning it into the worlds' largest concentration camp. What an advanced economic theory! Bruh don't forget that this is coming from a western channel, one that has never even claimed to be neutral.

@goodtipa The current Israeli govt. is responsible for about 250 Palestinian deaths this year BEFORE the Hamas attack. There's a reason Hamas' operation was called Al-Aqsa Flood - it's a direct reference to Israeli actions around the mosque. The current Israeli govt. is also committed to sidelining the Palestinians altogether, in cahoots with the US, as it seeks to use American guns as a bargaining chip to wean away all their Arab allies. There was never a status quo, just cos you didn't care to notice as things got worse. As for the Gaza Strip, it's the worlds' largest concentration camp. Prisons also provide their inmates with 'free' water and power fyi. Some status quo. The only difference is that people like you only follow headlines, and think prison camps are okay as long as Israel does it (but far be it from acceptable if China does it, despite them having nowhere near as high a death toll, cos ofc China is the wests' enemy but Israel is their innocent friend).
