@guydreamr They aren't defending themselves against Ukraine lol. Do you think this is about Ukraine? Not even close. This isn't even about NATO, that's just a front. It's about one country - America, for whom they see NATO as a proxy. The same is true of China. Do you think Taiwan is about semiconductors? Nope, it's about Cuba. China's Cuba i.e. Taiwan. The US didn't allow Russia to have forces close to it, and they won't allow America to have forces close to them either.

@guydreamr Plenty. It's no secret, it was widely reported. But YT is in the way, as you well know. Asking for sources is just hiding behind them. You can find Russia's offers to NATO before the war. There was a lot more detail here, but I'm done repeatedly trying to assuage this dystopian caricature of a platform.

@guydreamr 'Russia is "defending itself" against a nation about one-third its size' - source?
3
@guydreamr Lol a troll huh. So be it then. 🤡
3
@guydreamr 'Putin made his intentions quite clear in his 6,000 word essay' - source?
2
@guydreamr 'The imperialistic character of those intentions is evident' - source?

@guydreamr Go on bucko. Ball is now in your court to fight YT. I ain't doing it for you. Say hello to Susan for me.
2
@guydreamr Now go on and tell me to check wikipedia or something. Go on. I look forward to the delicious hypocrisy.

@Rob_F8F You had the chance to avoid Russia adding those three oblasts to itself. You got an offer from them before the war. It had the same demand they've been making for the last 30 years - pull back NATO. For 30 years you ignored it.
2
@guydreamr Lol, hypocrite. I literally predicted this, see above. No I expect sources. Not telling me what to look for. I did that and you rejected it. You're hereby rejected, until you actually show your sources. Not tell me to look stuff up.
2
@guydreamr Until you back up your talking points with ANY sources, which you've still failed to provide, your statements are all rejected.

@eightssix No, it shows that youtubers love chasing trends, much like the mainstream media they were supposed to be the alternative to. They're increasingly imbibing all the same bad habits as the regular media indulges in.

@Rob_F8F You had the opportunity to avoid Russia adding those three oblasts to itself. You got an offer from them before the war even started. It had the same demand they've been making, without a war, for the last 30 years - pull back NATO. For 30 years you ignored it. So 10 years ago when they saw Ukraine being next in line following the Maidan revolution, they took action. With Zelensky pushing even harder to the west, they went in to finish the job. You had a chance to avoid all this. And it isn't just Russia - China is pushing back against American encirclement all the same. Soon the same crisis will play out with them. Again, you have the chance to avoid it. Just stop trying to encircle them.

@guydreamr Plenty. It was no secret, it was widely reported in the media, including by youtubers. But YT won't allow it. You can find Russia's offers to NATO prior to launching the war. The most immediately adjacent ones go as much as 3 months prior to it i.e. December 2021, all the way to February 2022. NATO dismissed it. THEN Russia moved out. All you had to do was hold back, as was promised to them all the way back in the 90s (but conveniently never formalized into a treaty). War was literally predicted years ago by analysts who warned against NATO expansion. But all of it was ignored.

It had the same demand they've been making, without a war, for the last 30 years - pull back NATO. For 30 years you ignored it. They knew what was coming after the Maidan revolution, cos the Baltic states had done it before and their protests meant nothing. You had a chance to avoid all this. And it isn't just Russia - China is pushing back against American encirclement all the same. Soon the same crisis will play out with them.

@guydreamr 'even less in terms of land mass' - source?

It had the same demand they've been making for the last 30 years - pull back NATO. For 30 years you ignored it. Diplomacy didn't work all those times before, so they knew what was ahead of them when the 2014 Maidan revolution happened. And it isn't just Russia - China is pushing back against American encirclement all the same. Soon the same crisis will play out with them. Again, you have the chance to avoid it. @guydreamr Your statements are still unsupported, your statements are still rejected.

1
@Rob_F8F Lol no. The cost of doing that would've been letting Ukraine run into NATO. The point is NATO was expanding regardless of what Russia did. Finland's neutrality should've been a model, but the Baltics refused to learn that lesson. Now Finland has just guaranteed that if WW3 does break out, it'll be caught in it. And it likely won't even start with Russia, cos this is ultimately all about the US. And the US has a lot of enemies. It'll likely start elsewhere, but eventually Finland will be dragged in.

1
@Rob_F8F Talking about Finland and Sweden also gets the timeline inverted. NATO grew long before Russia did. It's also expanded far more.
1
@Rob_F8F Btw this same dynamic is going to play out with China too. The more you surround them, the more, not less, likely war will be. Calling the policy 'containment' only sounds innocent to you. To them it sounds like hegemonic vassalage. And they're not going to bow. They'd rather fight. Just as the US wouldn't tolerate Russia on Cuba, they won't tolerate it on Taiwan. If that happens, Finland ensured it'll be dragged in, cos now its fate is tied to the US. And the US has a lot of enemies.
1
@Rob_F8F Irrelevant. Russia didn't ask them not to apply, it asked NATO not to accept. They can apply all they want, they weren't meant to get in. Least that's what the US said, but not what it did.
1
@Rob_F8F Also why would they fear NATO? They were never targets. This has always been between Russia and America, not them. They knew NATO would be only too happy to woo them over. But the US is across the ocean, Russia isn't. The US is good only for as long as it remains world hegemon. If it ever loses that place, it can and will go back home. But Russia will still be here. It's not going anywhere. Same deal with China. The US doesn't have to be in South China Sea. But China always will be...

1
@Rob_F8F Wrong. Finland proves their fears unfounded. And now those fears are guaranteed as soon as the US ever suffers a decline. They're now joined at the hip to America. You've guaranteed that if ever the big one comes, you'll also be mixed up in it. Anyway did you randomly decide to return here over half a day later? I did reply to you earlier, but YT is like China nowadays.
1
@Rob_F8F What you call 'not very smart', they would say 'we've little choice'. NATO was expanding regardless, might as well do something before the surround was complete. China would say the same. And now all of Europe depends on the US to stay safe, cos all of it is now a target. Finland could have not been a target. All it takes is for US hegemony to falter.
1
@Rob_F8F 'Russia has proven their fears to be entirely well founded' - not before NATO proved Russia's fears to be entirely well founded. Without a war, NATO still expanded. Also without a war, the US still patrols and puts down bases along the South China Sea. Etc. They know your game.
1
@Rob_F8F 'Russia has proven their fears to be entirely well founded' - NATO first proved Russia's fears to be well founded. Without war, NATO still expanded. Also without war, the US patrols and puts down bases along the South China Sea. Etc.

@Rob_F8F My apologies. I just thought you'd left cos I didn't reply since YT was being a pain.
