What this video doesn't touch on is that the biggest reason why nuclear isn't being built is because investors just aren't interested in it anymore, not cos of protests but because of profitability. Nuclear power plants have LONG payback periods - on the order of over a decade - and require HUGE investments. And nowadays their profitability once they finally do start to pay for themselves a decade later is actually not much greater than most other investments, including renewables. And then there's the dream/meme of nuclear fusion always waiting in the wings - nuclear plants can work for over half a CENTURY, so why would you as an investor want to be caught investing into yesteryears' plants instead of waiting for the hot new tech to hit? The problem isn't activists, it's the investors.

@mrberzerk8411 Bruh, most countries haven't banned nuclear. Don't universalize the acts of a handful of countries to imagine the whole world is doing it. They aren't. What the whole world isn't doing is investing into nuclear, for the reasons I mentioned above.
