@limouzine1529 Because the oil-fueled party will end one day, and it's going to hit them hard when it does - but the royal family will likely be fine even then. The monarch has little reason to be concerned about the future, but his people sure do. Being docile little sheep is going to be the doom of them.

Difference is that North Korea gets attention, which means there's a somewhat greater possibility of change there. Brunei gets almost no attention, so they're free to keep doing their shit without a care in the world.

@siafilia3935 For now. I'm sure many Saudis are happy with their lot in life right now too. Pay a visit to Venezuela sometime, if you can. Complacency will eventually bring your happiness crashing down, unless you make sure you're ready for the shift. And that will require you, or rather your royal family, to stop wasting the black golden opportunity they've been blessed with.

@hanaaiman137 How much have you explored the internet? Have you perhaps come across people criticizing the US, or China, or India, or Malaysia or plenty of other countries? There's lots of it out there. And it's not considered wrong to do so. So perhaps you should really ask yourself why you're reacting so defensively when people point out issues with your own nation? If you don't agree with those criticisms, argue against them. Show why they're wrong. Instead of trying to claim victimization or undermine the people making the critiques.

@akashbhattacharya4728 Venezuela's finances were a lot worse than Brunei's, even before its implosion.
