China has been doing this for a long time now. The ones cashing in on crisis are other countries, China is just continuing with what it was already doing, just at at a slightler brisker pace.

@theshadowman1398 Lol, you make it sound like they had a choice. Tearing up that deal would simply have resulted in the territory becoming Chinese by force. The Brits certainly didn't have the ability to defend it. Nor the legal right to dispute it, as it was leased land - and the lease was ending. It's impressive they even got a deal.

@orlingueorguiev That'd be nice, if Bollywood actually made good movies. Sadly most of them are almost as bad as their cheesy Chinese counterparts. They're comparable to Marvel Hollywood maybe, but not some of the truly thoughtful films Hollywood occasionally also puts out. Fix the Indian studio system and maybe, just maybe, India will actually win an Oscar one day (and don't bother suggesting the Oscars discriminate, when they've honored films from much smaller foreign film industries). And if you say you're okay with the masala nonsense Bollywood streams out constantly, then I'm afraid they make pretty piss poor political pieces.
