@Guplk 'Whataboutism' is just a convenient word to sidestep accusations of hypocrisy. Hell I bet you people haven't even looked up the word, just heard it in the media. Even its wiki page is honest enough to acknowledge criticisms of its use.

@ac_pejk3113 Yeah, it was Russia that invaded Iraq too. Oh wait... And that's just one example. Angola, Argentina, Afghanistan, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chad, Chile, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Savador, Grenada, Gautemala, Honduras, Iran, Laos, Nicaragua, Panama, Sudan, Vietnam, etc. Have fun looking up all those interventions. And that wasn't even all of them lol, not even close.

@Guplk Yep, you haven't looked it up lol! Talk about being an apologist for hypocrisy. First off it isn't changing the subject, it's literally pointing out how the one making the accusation themselves fail at the subject. Secondly your claim that it's about seeking for someone blameless is a classic minimization tactic. You'd have a point if it was firing back about some lone US murder versus a full scale military invasion, but that's not typically the charge being made. Rather it's pointing out US invasions that've resulted in hundreds of thousands dead versus a Russian one with far fewer casualties - in other words, it's a straight comparison. And your laughable claim that this is impossible cos no one is blameless lol - how guilty of aggression is Costa Rica pray? Or Bhutan? Or Ireland? MOST nations on Earth aren't vulnerable to such a callout, not to a comparable extent at least. You know the only ones who are? If we're talking only post-WW2 west, then mainly it's just the US, UK and France. But then hypocrites hate being called out on their hypocrisy, and will invent any word to avoid owning up to it.

The world has seen plenty of wars in recent years, and there's even multiple other wars going on right now alongside this one. This isn't even the deadliest war currently. You just want to paint Russia as being exceptional, when it really isn't. The only thing exceptional about this war is that a WESTERN country was attacked, not that there's a war.

@TheSwedishHistorian Lol right! Keep telling yourself that right upto and even beyond WW3. Present a map of NATO expansion to any past nation and ask them how they'd see it if it was surrounding them, see how many see it as not an issue. Why cause an international incident when Russia put forces in Cuba then? Why when China signs a security deal with the Solomon Islands? NATO is and always has been an extension of American power, not merely a 'harmless defensive alliance'.

Might as well ask why the countries in the CSTO are in it lol. I didn't say NATO was US imperialism, I said NATO was an extension of American power. There's a difference. "Russia shouldn't have a say in foreign affairs in other foreign countries" - lol, if this is how you think the world works, you're beyond naive. Do you know why the US doesn't annex territory of the countries it's invaded? Cos it doesn't need to, it just puts in place a friendly govt. instead. It's also just cheaper to just put a friendly govt. in power, either overtly or covertly. In a sense that's almost like taking the whole place. Russia would be happy to do that too btw - it's what they tried to do in February, and why they had no issues with Ukraine before the 2014 revolution. Nations have always had a say in the affairs of those they can intimidate, be it Russia or the US or any others past and present. It's not even always violent, nor restricted to just foreign policy (for instance, look up how the US forced its own ally Japan to tank its own economy via the Plaza Accords, to serve US economic interests).

@ajoajoajoaj Lol the US doesn't annex territory cos it's halfway across the world. The US just invades and puts in place friendly client govts., assuming it can't do that covertly. In a sense that's kinda like annexing the whole country. Russia would be happy with that too btw, it's what they tried to do at first in February. They got along fine with Ukraine until the 2014 flip.

@tero2444 The more you people tell yourself this, the more likely WW3 is. Not just with Russia, but China and Iran too. Western hubris and recklessness is just going to make this world a more dangerous place. Something Caspians' past videos have often said (think every time he talks about parity), yet dick size obsessed viewers like you don't get. The more the US sees itself as master of the universe, the less stable the whole world gets.
