@bnfcj8987 Chinese propaganda tool would not be dismissing China's ability to take on the US Navy. This vid resembles US propaganda more than China.

The Russian army has plenty of combat experience, yet look how that's worked out. And btw, US forces were pretty green at the start of WW2 and yet they still managed to prevail. War isn't so easy to predict.

Tbf the West does the opposite of this - assume those nations will just let their waters be occupied by the US Navy and their trade suffer for a war that they're not part of. Japan sure and the Philippines maybe, but the rest? Unlikely. It isn't just China's invasion that's played up, but the way the US can just have its way with the region is also assumed. And no, if the US forces its way into their waters, that is an act of war - not just on China, but on them too.

@benzpinto Yep, that's what I pointed out in my comment. Everyone assumes the nations involved will just step aside and let the major powers do whatever they want in their waters. Which is the height of hubris.

@anhduc0913 The US absolutely wants war, just a war they can blame the other side for. They've been consistently antagonizing China since around 2016, while pushing for NATO expansion since 1990 to surround Russia. You're talking about the country that's spent most of its history in one war or another,

@forte609 It isn't an act of war, it's an act of power projection. That is very much a hostile act, even if no shots have been fired, just as putting someone in a cage is a hostile act even if you don't beat them up.

@bnfcj8987 Bub the "world" isn't even all sanctioning Russia, let alone China. Only the West and Japan is sanctioning Russia, the vast majority of the nations on Earth aren't. This is even less likely with China.
