Comments by "Persona" (@ArawnOfAnnwn) on "War in Ukraine could have global consequences" video.
What's unfortunate is how much people were badgering him to make this on the last video. In these situations it's best to be patient and wait if you want calm, objective analysis. But NOOO, everyone just HAD to have his take on it asap.

@AW-zk5qb Bruh, Pax America has hardly been peaceful, only peaceful for the west. America still has the most wars to its name. Even now, even a single of America's wars this century have orders of magnitude more deaths than ALL of Russia's wars this century. While China hasn't been to war in decades. The world literally voted America as the greatest threat to world peace just a few years ago, an in an American poll lol! It wasn't even close - second place was literally about a quarter of their score.

ColdFusion also has a great video on the global economic ramifications that avoids all the childish posturing rhetoric.

@KN-xl6lw He's not an advocate for it, he's a realist. All he says is that this stuff never went away, like it or not. And a realist would never suggest that Britain should retake the US, simply because Britain is far weaker. That's just a stupid comparison.

@JojohnWick Meh. Don't see an issue with it. Guy needs to eat.

@wp12mv What do you expect?! It's a very recent developing situation. Frankly, he should've waited even long to make this video, but everyone was pestering him about it below his last one. CR isn't a news channel, so expecting him to cover breaking news is stupid. Imo he should appraise the war once things have calmed down and become clearer, not now. But ppl just can't wait.

@Morgan-gd5rg They didn't trust it, they expected it. There's a difference. That expectation was not lived up to, so here we are.

@OttomanSultana The difference is that Shirvan DOESN'T cover emerging topics. Almost all his videos are about stuff that's not brand new, just underappreciated. He's covering this one cos people kept badgering him about it below his last video. CR isn't a breaking news channel, and yet so many here wanted him to act like one.
1
@OttomanSultana Perhaps. But that probably would've resulted in all the other videos he might have planned (on other topics) being similarly pestered and, more importantly, not being watched cos they weren't on the current hot button topic. At least now one can say he's said something about it, so they hopefully move on and show some interest in other things besides war reporting.

@renanvinicius6036 If you want more on the economic effects, check out ColdFusions' latest video.

@frankmueller6522 If this was simply a matter of democracy, then why have the Baltic states not been attacked? NATO? Okay, then what about Finland, which has never been part of NATO? Stop being a brainless ideologue and think for a bit. This kind of liberal drivel is exactly what brought us this war to begin with, because it denies realist geopolitical analysis in favor of silly idealistic fundamentalism. The very kind of fundamentalism that would celebrate the firing of nukes all for the sake of its dogma.

@MDP1702 Bruh, "luxury" doesn't simply mean everything besides food and gas. Also if your economic downturn is caused by a foreign power, the people are going to blame that foreign power, not you. And China is already at the forefront of green technology, indeed it has a commanding position on it, so even the "new" energy the west is moving to is vulnerable.

@abdourahmanealkhalifa191 They won't. Mearsheimer is a realist. A lot of these people will just violently reject him cos they're all a bunch of starry-eyed liberal idealists, the exact people Mearsheimer is criticizing. Since they can judge from afar instead of actually have to deal in real geopolitics themselves, they can afford to be.
