  1. I can see two possible theories. 1. Their general building strategy is all sorts of fucked and they're trying desperately not to admit to people that they've been shopping in areas which could be legally deemed unsafe (opening up anyone who ever so much as stubbed a toe there to the possibility of suing.) 2. Walmart (which is run by billionaire oligarchs with major connections to every level of the government) came to the conclusion that some sort of fiscal meltdown is coming and wants to liquidate their storefronts as quickly as possible so they aren't stuck with unusable, unsaleable properties and thus mass debt.
