  6. Why would I do that when I intend to enjoy watching civilization come undone due to its own egocentric paranoia? The world has warmed and cooled many times, and nothing we could have done would change this- we have merely convinced ourselves that our miniscule endeavors can somehow save us from struggle and danger, which is a lie. In the span of time we will eventually destroy ourselves with a nuclear war- this isn't a possibility, it is a certainty- and so worrying about sea level rise, to me, is funny.

We prepared to destroy ourselves in 1945 when we developed the first primitive means to do so- weapons that could kill a man evolved into weapons that could kill a whole squad. Then it advanced to weapons that could decimate a city block, then a whole city, now a whole county. There are nations in this world small enough to be virtually wiped out in one hit after 15 minutes of some randomly flung ICMB flying towards them, with no defense available to save them, and tens of thousands of these weapons exist; and that doesn't even count other WMDs fielded by half the nations in the world, electronnic warfare, epidemics, super volcanoes, mega quakes, asteroids, we're living on borrowed time so we might as well not worry too much about natural cycles that have happened for millions of years and which we are unable to control.

  21. I will vote for whom I deem best suited for the position. Since no candidate from the democratic or republican parties is suited at all, it makes sense not to waste my vote for any of them. If I told you to choose to eat either maggot infested cow shit, or spider infested dog shit, you wouldn't (if sane) eat either of them because you'd realize you can also choose to eat something else.
