  16. It's been done. People take high precision macroscopic lenses to a marble and demonstrate how the surface appears flat from up close. Reality does not deter flat earthers at all.

  20. It depends on how you define sky. Do you mean Earth's atmosphere? Then it effectively goes to about 100 kilometers, but in technical terms goes to about 250,000 miles. If you include the night sky in your definition, then you're talking about the entire universe. While not "unlimited", it is in fact very very very large.
