Somehow the sun is lighting up all of the ice wall around the Earth, because Antarctica is in 24 hour daylight, but simultaneously most of the middle of the world is in darkness. That's not a circle, it's a bizarre twisty shaped pile of wierdness that nothing can explain - because it isn't true.

To light up "half the disc" requires that there be some kind of magical force which arbitrarily stops light from crossing it at extremely short distances in the north, and extremely long distances in the south. It makes zero sense, and you flerfs always avoid the topic when this stupidity is pointed out to you. You have no map. No model. No math. No science. No evidence.
