  35.  @tylermcloud8160  Why wouldn't we be able to see the sun and the moon at the same time? The moon is on the sun side of the earth for half the month. For half of that half, you are on the side of the earth facing the sun. Thus you see them both.

It has an azimuthal equidistant projection of the globe. It's an image that depicts all of the countries of the world without giving primacy to any of them, and it also fits well on business cards and stationary letterhead. We can go past low earth orbit, there is just normally no reason to do so. What does water pressure have to do with anything? Space has no pressure. Not negative pressure.

The formula to calculate buoyancy literally has gravity built into it. No gravity = no buoyancy. Further, if you have a small vacuum chamber and you drop an object in it, that object will always fall down. Every single time. Why? Why doesn't it go sideways, or up? The density around this object is 0 in every direction. Objects don't know what down is. A force is acting on it. Gravity.

Maybe you should spend some time looking up what line of sight means, and how VHF signals are blocked by the curvature of the earth. When the moon is overhead, there is no earth blocking radio signals, and when you point a 30 meter dish at the moon you can pick up some pretty weak signals indeed. Fun fact: The Apollo missions were run in conjunction with countries around the world, because when the US wasn't facing the moon, we still needed to talk to the crews.

So that's a signal sent 121 light years, or approximately 711,300,000,000,000 miles.
