  1. Double tower. You take two full towers, cut out the bottom of one and the top of the other, weld them together, then run 2 CPUs in CPU-SLI with quad video cards. It's able to run Pong in 84,000 FPS.

  3. I found Walmart selling a pre-built HP "gaming" computer on clearance for $149 (down from $600). Inside is a generic OEM GTX 1650 Super. That card currently retails in the $250-300 range. I bought the computer and pulled the card and plugged it into my machine, because my old card died at the end of December and the empty slot was killing me (and my games).

  4. My 970 burned out in January 2021, when some of the worst of the scalping and shortages were happening. I found an prebuilt HP that was being sold by a local Walmart, and they were discontinuing it, so it was heavily discounted. Inside was a brand new 1650. So, I bought the computer for half the price of what the the card was going for, took out the card, and tossed the rest. I have no intention of getting any upgrades for a long time. Prices are insane, and trust in quality is almost nonexistent.

  5. My GTX 970 has just croaked, and there isn't a GPU to be had anywhere around where I live, and the prices on 4 and 5 year old cards is just ridiculous. So, I pulled the card and plugged my monitors into the M/B monitor slots...and it works. I don't typically play anything new, so it's not a huge problem. I can wait out these cryptominers/scalpers/chip shortagers.

  6. I really miss my Logitech G510. I loved the huge number of macro keys on the left end of the board. But it wore out and they don't make anything like it anymore.
