@jacklaker1939 But he is also not wrong, you have stupid degrees that are easier to get into. And don't forget, quota, networking, and the biggest thing, money.
Honestly, as an engineer my self, the only institution I value, is MIT. I also applaud Cal-Tech, GA-Tech, University of Michigan COE, and Stanford. But apart from that, it hardly matters where you do your engineering degree from. Because what matters to you, is nothing more then salary and what you like to do period!

@jacklaker1939 Its not what you think, its what's factual.
Your dad has a degree in business, that explains it. He also has a degree in English (Which is also a no brainer). One major, teaches you to Critical Decisions in moments notice, while the other express language in persuasion. But also, he needed to have experience, unless you have connections. You won't get a high salary in college, and even if you do have connections, you have to prove. You generally work for experience, prove your self, and then move on. He probably has TONS of experience, but yes, his majors give him the tools, he practice with them for some time ang got the good (yes good) experience he needed to make the funds.
The other thing I will also add, is that if your dad did not like what to do. Then his life should have been all evaluated. I struggle in EE, but I'm dealing with it just like everyone else. I have thought about quitting the major, but never did because I know the grass is greener on the other side. But I also know, that I may not like the industry. So I'm considering options like Naval Special Warfare, or even becoming a physician on the side. But truth be told, they all have their pro's and con's. But because Money is important (as it should be), I have to do what I need to do not for me, but for the fam if I chose to have one down the road.
