Just like how TX also pays money as well, which are higher then some red state like MS and AL. Same with Alabama, and my dad being a researcher. FL, TX, and TN are not even EPSCOR States, look it up to understand what is it about.

  3.  @stevemorris6790  Also, we pay tax to the state, which is high, based on the legislation of the state. Compared to other states where they have lower taxes based on the cost of living. Did you know, that the state and local tax of FL comes close to WA?
