  2. A ship physically can’t accelerate beyond a certain speed, interest rates can so the example is a bit pointless. The difference between 0.25% and 0.5% is not going create ww3 is it? At this marginal difference it’s worth going for the upper bound, decreasing spending quicker instead of elongating it.
