  2.  @onegoodtech4all751  Because too often these guys aren't afraid of prison, and some even laugh at the family without any remorse in court. They know they'll get a cot, a toilet, a shower, lunch time, recess, and even exercise. Why should a violent criminal murderer, rapist, or pedophile get any of that? They view it as vacation. Only lesser violent criminals, and property criminals deserve the full sentence. But there should maybe be a lesser torture for thieves in all of the grand larceny categories. But, nothing too crazy!
