This virus thing has produced one "bruh" moment after another.
706
We all know like 90% of the chicks on tiktok are e-thots anyways...
7
And for those who don't mind being drafted to fight in wars. Which will probably happen soon.
7
Short term its alright but it will lead to hyperinflation, massive unemployment, a very high crime rate and Martial Law (as a response to the crime rate) in the long term, like most stuff of this kind does. Case in point: The USSR. Lenin, Stalin, and Gorbachev were doing this kind of stuff for decades and look at how bad the citizens had it there. I really don't want the US to turn into the USSR and UBI like this will do just that...across the next couple decades at least. Stuff like this should really be left to the states which is what Noam Chomsky argues (as well as other Libertarian Socialists). I'm good with socialism and UBI, it's definitely necessary for stuff like now where we need to be home as much as possible so we don't spread this thing but Libertarian Socialism where the federal government is kept small and provides just enough UBI but not TOO much would be the best way to go here. It'll flatten a different curve so to speak.

I'm praying to every deity in existence that this means we're going back to the Gold Standard.
3
@MM-cz6zv I wouldn't say that. He's a Genius at the art of being disciplined enough to save money, kinda meh at everything else.
3
In about 15 or so years, yeah.
2
And July. And August. And September. And October. Social Distancing stuff is going to pretty much keep going until October bruh. Things aren't gonna magically get better by June, we're in for a very long Nuclear Winter.
2
I've been doing intermittent fasting for about a year or so, it's coming in VERY handy now. Have about two months worth of food stocked up, I'm good for awhile lol.
2
I agree. We're gonna see something more like 2008-2009, but we WILL see a depression in the late 2020s, ironically. A century after the Great Depression, we see another Great Depression.
2
That's gonna happen by the 2030s. That and endless war. There won't be any advances and the US will pretty much become a third world country.
2
Save it cuz gas is gonna be like $8 per gallon next year lol
2
Love how Ramsey went to bat for Millennials and trashed the Boomers in that video!
2
Not to mention the crime rate will go up too if things are "lock down lite" like this for too long. But yes, the unemployment rate will be about 33% in a couple months.
1
It starts with stopping tiktok.
1
9:35 15% by the end of the year? It's 15% NOW! Unemployment is gonna be at least 33% at the end of the year.
1
They ruin a lot more than that.
1
That's what I'm doing. Created my own makeshift hazmat suit: Sweatshirt tucked in, cargo pants, mask and gloves. I drive for Bite Squad and work at a golf course. I look like a freak but I don't care. And this is BEYOND socialism, this is pretty much Bolshevism.
1
I'm assuming that too. Half going into an emergency fund, another half towards a new laptop.
1
I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself. If something like this passes, we're gonna become like Zimbabwe where bread is gonna be like $100k LMAO
1
Pimpin aint easy! lol
1
Pushing 40 with over 100k in debt...should I shoot myself, drown myself, run in front of a train, or get a lethal injection?
1
LMAO I don't trust any of this. I mean I've been a contractor for pretty much all of 2019 (freelance writing + Uber driving) and made right around 20k last year now the government's like "yo this virus has probably cut your pay, here's 10k on us...?" No. There's no way anyone who isn't in the hospitality or travel industries is going to get that. I know who's gonna get paid first.
1
I agree, it's a little more than a third of my income. I made about $1500 or so a month before the pandemic hit (can't do Bite Squad anymore until I get a mask and do some repairs on my car). Rent is $550. So yeah, a little more than a third. I mean now I probably make $800 a month now, but I should still be able to afford my rent for a bit.
1
Bruh seriously. Fortunately I don't think it passed. if it did, that sucks.
1
Most incels are practically homeless doe
1
Still haven't gotten the alleged $1200 from the "first round," and I'm not expecting it at all. The US should have just frozen EVERYTHING and sent the National Guard to make us all stay home a month ago. Really wish our government could just straight up act like the authoritarians they actually are.
1
I'm a big fan of using coaching to make money, however it needs to be in a niche that not only REALLY NEEDS coaches, it also needs to be something that you know more than "established" coaches. Like with most things, its all about value.
1
Seems legit lol
1
LOL nope.
1
Better add a couple zeros to that. And if we're lucky that will be by 2030 but it will probably be by 2025. We're gonna see people fleeing the country in droves in the next five years. People aren't stupid and they know what's up.
1
As for what I'm doing with the money, its probably all going into a savings account. Or at least half of it. Might get a new laptop with it tbh.
1
Your house has practically no value now compared to when you bought it. But it'll shoot up in value in a few years. Real estate crashes and recoveries are rather predictable, same pattern every 8 or so years.
1
4:00-4:35 Does Graham even economics? This is the very thing that CAUSES hyperinflation. $2 Trillion. With a "T." That's gonna come back to us in a couple years. Trust. Gas is gonna be $8 per gallon sometime next year, you heard it here first.
1
I DO NOT want this to pass. The stuff that would happen after would be really really bad LMAO. Gas would be like $8 per gallon in 2022 lol. Gotta love how we're forcing unemployment on this yet H1N1 infected and KILLED WAAAAAAAY more people and no one even shrugged. WTF man. If this does pass, KEEP THE FUCKING MONEY and DO NOT spend it (or spend just a little). The government WILL want it back. And much more than $1200. I agree with 12:45 - 13:15. Should have done that in the beginning of this month. Close/freeze everything until the virus runs its course. 90% of the people it infects are asymptomatic anyways. Would have been MUCH more effective. I mean if we're gonna be in a police state...
1
8:50-9:00 See this kind of thing would actually grant the $15 per hour crew what they want. Because if minimum wage was upped to $15 per hour, the full time work week would have to drop from 40 to 20. Which means the price floor would be able to rise organically because of the reduction of spending. People who are interested in upping the minimum wage should pay attention to this video :P
1
LMAO seriously.
1
You'll need to wait 3 or so years to sell it, since the travel bans are probably going to last for 2 or so years.
1
Only 30%? Try 60%. Or even 90%.
1
It'll be 1.4 gallons for 20 in three years or so...
1
My prediction is that we're gonna see 2008-2009 levels of inflation. Gas will probably be about $5 a gallon in a couple years. All the other stuff we buy will probably go up as well. As far as a REAL collapse goes, that won't be for about 10-15 years or so. I'll make sure I'm in Southeast Asia by then.
1
You'll like the check now but you won't like gas being $20 a gallon in five years lol
1
It's funny, I had EXACTLY $500 before the pandemic began 2 months ago.
1
Gas will also be $8 per gallon and a room in a college town apartment will be like $2500 LMAO.
1
Word!
1
33% unemployment rate (probably higher, maybe even closer to 50%), looting, riots all over the place! Forget any given summer movie, people's responses to the stay-at-home order being lengthened (It'll be in place until September probably lol) is going to be THE movie of the summer. All summer long, baby. Welcome to hell on earth.
1
Yeah it just happened to me. Wasn't for that much only about 3k, but still. However I fell for it pretty bad.
1
Bruh this is gonna lead to the Great Suicide, forget the Great Depression.
1
15 years or so. We'll be like current day Venezuela or the Weimar Republic in the mid 1920s where you get money from the government to buy stuff because practically no one will have jobs.
1
Boomers were well-meaning...? Oh wait I just saw that you were being sarcastic haha. Legit.
