I actually like how they mentioned lots of hip hop records. Up until maybe 2004 or so when Ludacris decided that people from the South should make hip hop records (and have now DOMINATED the industry with the same try-hard nonsense for the last decade), hip hop was amazing. This list proves that hip hop used to have substance. I was a big hip hop fan in the mid 90s because their artists actually had a story to tell in their records. It was both cool and intellectually stimulating to like hip hop back then, as well as punk. There were a lot of similarities between the two. I'm surprised that Live "Throwing Copper," Silverchair "Frogstomp," and Collective Soul isn't on here. But then again they probably didn't sell as many copies as the records in this list. Which also leads me to ask why TLC "CrazySexyCool" isn't on here as that was I believe in the top selling records of the year.

Tobias Østergaard One Hot Minute is easily one of The Chilli Peppers' worst records. And The Bends has NOTHING on OK Computer.

Tobias Østergaard If One Hot Minute should replace anything on this list it should replace Mellon Collie. I'm one of a very select few who actually think Mellon Collie was very overrated. STP's Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop featured a strung out Scott Weiland and half the songs of Mellon Collie and I think its better. But that came out in early 1996 tho. Also Mellon Collie was the beginning of the Pumpkins' downfall. Their follow up to it was awful.
