  1. Dunno if Dr. K or his staff see the comments, but is there any way to get chosen to be interviewed? I have a similar past to Doc. Family life wasn't as chaotic (was raised by a single dad) but it was definitely traumatic (was sexually assaulted by a friend of the family when I was in high school).

  2. I'm nearly twice your age and I'm in the exact same position. Only I got a few buddies which is nice. But yeah I live paycheck to paycheck and my future is not only uncertain, every month is a fight to avoid being evicted/homeless. It was the life I chose because I also chose to be a victim of things my whole life, believing there was a legitimate conspiracy against my success brought on by chicks who rejected me in high school. Yeah, its some supreme gentleman stuff. Not proud of it. But I'll get through it. You will too. Every day is a new adventure.

I was sexually assaulted twice in my life and wasted nearly two decades of my life taking it seriously, literally thinking that I was some weird freak cuz nobody believes that dudes can be sexually assaulted. When I started trivializing them as you say, things got better. While there is a difference between trivializing things in hopes of them magically going away and trivializing them to show that you have recovered, you can't take your problems seriously forever. They'll wind up influencing every decision you make in the future.
