Why? They were stupid predictable high school jocks who could get away with doing really horrible things. Actually, 13 Reasons is FULL of stereotypes. Not horrible, but just kinda meh. Would have been more interesting if Hannah didn't actually die and if she had some weird powers that enabled her to recover really quickly from physical pain. Sort of like Unbreakable but from the perspective of high school kids. Fun fact, I practically rewrote 13 Reasons with that in mind. Terry Silver from Karate Kid/Cobra Kai...now THAT is a villain worth analyzing.
