  1. Super isn't canon. Or at least it SHOULDN'T be. Because Freeza WAS afraid of Saiyans getting stronger than him. Says it in the manga when he sends Zarbon out to get Vegeta. Says "I gotta nip this in the bud now and kill the rest of the saiyans, whoever is left...it would be more than a nuisance if they were to become super saiyans." Beerus, as well as pretty much 90% of what came out of Super, is just a retcon. Toriyama was under a lot of pressure to create it and I doubt he even wanted to.
