That's the key phrase "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State". That is fine. But that is not how and why people are gathering guns. All these individuals are in no way shape or form a well regulated militia. They are an unregulated mob and a collections of individuals. And they aren't bearing arms to secure a free state. Many are bearing and uses these Arms to kill minorities they have disagreements with. The 2nd Amendment as Written is fine, but as it's being applied is completely different. Also, it's an Amendment already. So it can be changed. We repealed the 18th Amendment, we can repeal and rewrite the 2nd Amendment too. So just because it's in the Constitution doesn't mean it's carved in stone, and born right and can not be changed. If enough people want, it can be changed. I know this is a right winged audience, so I don't anticipate any positive response to this. But it's true.
That being said, I am not even Anti Gun. If you want to hunt and have a gun to protect your family that is fine. But if people don't see how and why it's gone too far they are just worried that any change will lead to no guns at all. And I don't support that. No one needs an AR15 or similar gun, just like no one needs or can buy a RPG or own an operational tank. There should be limits to what we consider a "Gun" under the 2nd Amendment. The Amendment can stay, but we need to reclassify a gun for hunting and protection vs a Weapon on War.

@surfingtothestars Okay, I'll give you that. I'll walk back on the AR-15 Comment as a gun no one should have. My point is, it doesn't matter. I don't care how many AR-15's you have, If the Government became Tyrannical, your AR-15 won't help. I know it feels powerful and awesome in your hands, but the bottom line is if it really came down to the US Gov. vs Americans with AR-15's, well I am sorry, but you will be seriously outgunned. We're now getting really into the weeds here. But let's just say for arguments sake the Military totally turned on all of the US Population (I can't think of a reason why right now, but let's say it's true) Your ownership of an AR-15 will not stop of prevent or barely even slow the US Military from shutting you down if they want to. I know 2nd A People like to think they can stand against the US Military (Because of the Revolutionary War) But if it comes down to that. I am sorry to tell you, you will just be a Ant under their boot. Sure, Maybe you might take one or two guys out before they kill you, but I promise, they will be prying that gun from your cold dead hands and then moving on to the next body. And Hypothetically if you happen to be part of some extremely organized and well armed Militia in the woods of Montana and you posed any kind of threat to the US Gov. Well, I hate to tell you, but a geek with a Play Station Controller in a cargo container in Nevada, given the authority can wipe your Militia off the face off the Earth with a single Drone Strike from 60,000 Feet and your entire Militia would be dead before you even heard the missile that was dropped on your camp. So yeah, go ahead, gather your AR-15's. Just hope you never need them.

@josholiver8833 That is my only point. It's just to late. Even Entire Countries with organized Military's, Organized ground forces with tanks, RPG's, Fully Automatic Weapons etc . Are unable to stand up to the US Military. The Idea that some beer gutted dudes, that have a couple tractors and some chickens in their back yard, but also own a few guns are somehow going to be able to stand against the US Military is insane. I have a hard time coming up with a reason why they would need to, but if they needed to, it's too late. Sure, some NRA people will slip out the talking point that only 3% of Americans won the war against England. Well I am sorry 3%'ers. That is totally untrue. Not only is the number of 3% Low, but that leaves out several key points. ie: We didn't fight all of the UK, just the troops they were willing to spare, we also had the same rifles they did. We also had an entire Atlantic Ocean between us and them. And in that ocean we had the support of the French Navy. Without which most historians didn't give the US a chance in the Revelation. So yeah, the US Won, but it was in no shape or form because Americans had some Rifles. And it in no way equates to defeating an oppressing Government today. Not unless we can all buy tanks and RPG's etc
