@liamfoo09 That's the problem. It's by no means a vast majority that think that way, but it's enough to continue making this a problem. When you factor in the money the NRA pumps into the Political Environment I think it's presented as a more prevalent ideology than it actually is. But there are enough that support it to start a Civil War before they would give up their precious Guns.

@deathbyqtip33 You're right. That's 2. But for some reason the overwhelming majority is young white guys. I think they feel lost and disillusioned about their future prospects and take it on on the people they feel are reasonable. Correct or not, it's what they feel. Then of course there is also just the bullied White kids in High School. That's where this basically started.

Wig Splitter - There have been and are currently plenty of bans on the type of "Arms" an American is allowed to own. If the goal is to be able to resist an oppressive Government, I'm sorry, but that ship has sailed. No amount of AR-15's would help with a resistance against the US Military. And I say that with absolutely no idea why the US Military would be attacking and killing it's own citizens. I suppose it's possible, but highly unlikely enough at this moment to dictate gun laws

And it's not just drones, it's military weaponry the general public not only doesn't have access to, but isn't even aware of. So let's say hypothetically, there is some Militia in Montana the US Army wants to get rid of, for whatever reason, this is hypothetical (I can't imagine the reason why, but let's say it's true). Do you honestly think AR-15's, Flak Jackets or "asymmetrical" warfare by deer hunters would prevent the US Military from wiping the entire Militia off the map in less than a couple hours if they chose to? Also the US Military wouldn't even need to have boots on the ground to deal with "Deer Hunters". There would just be a bunch of militia walking around with their AR-15's and Flak jackets thinking they were all total badasses. And before they could say "Hey do you hear that" they would all be dust. These 2nd Amendment Anti-Government types were born 300 years too late. The Revolution was what it was, because it was basically musket vs musket. That being said, America probably would not have won without the aide of the French General's training our troops and the help of their Navy. Without the French, the Revolution most likely fails anyway.

@wigsplitter4521 When did I say 90% of the Military would be required to quell any resistance? You're telling me I am assuming that, but not only did I never say that, I totally disagree. Does 1 Drone Strike against a group of 1,500+ "Militia" (or dudes with guns playing soldier in the woods) actually require 90% of the US Military to wipe them off the map? I don't think so. I think 1% could probably wipe them out without even putting pants on and leaving their apartment. I'm sorry, I feel for all you Militia guys playing soldier in the woods and I wish the best for you. But you're delusional if you think you could defeat the US Military, regardless of percentage. It may not sound like it, but I am on your side, I am just pointing out facts, which may be hard to swallow if you committed a large portion of your life to being a Militia Member. It's too late. Sure, many US Soldiers won't take part, those that don't will be apprehended, and even if there is a tiny few that do, that's all it will take. Militia guys are incorrectly equating the modern world to the world of the US Revolution. Everyone had basically the same weapons then. That is not the case now. Not even close. I would give any rebellion a week at best. The only thing that would slow down their demise is if the Military was concerned about collateral Damage. If it got to the point where that wasn't a concern. Bye, Bye.

I think this Medication effect is way over exaggerated. But when Joe says it, his fans fall in line and their like yeah, the problem has nothing to do with guns, it's all about Medication. There are so many people on Meds, that of course most mass shooters will be on meds. But how many Mass shooters also eat cheeseburgers? Does that mean cheeseburgers are the cause? It's a case of correlation vs Causation. Joe just tends to lean heavily towards the meds being the cause. Even though the vast majority of people on meds do nothing wrong, just like the vast majority of gun owners do nothing wrong and Even though people have been committing heinous acts of violence all throughout history. It just makes sense that if you're one of those people in the US, you are going to use the most effect tools at your disposal.

Wak Job - Truth is, Cops never carried Semi-Automatic Rifles like AR-15's until citizens started robbing banks with them while wearing body armor. They only started carrying them so they could adequately defend themselves against the public.
