I notice a similar thing going on here in belgium, even before covid. I'm 35 myself and there's been very rough periods, but somehow I made it through. When I walk in town, I've noticed a lot of young homeless people, not everyone has to the luck to be able to rely on parents or friends for help. Something else that's worth saying: I've actually helped homeless people and sadly it often didn't end well, no matter how hard I tried and how well intentioned you are, there's always problems, some of those experiences were bad enough that I never want to try it again. I do still think that such people deserve some kind of help. This homeless problem seems to be global. I hope you meet this girl in the future and she has made it, she's a very strong girl, I hope she'll be ok.
