  2. Here in Belgium it actually came up a couple of times on mainstream news and in several documentaries. Usually university students looking for easy money, same type of people also turn to prostitution, I guess the difference being one doesn't sleep with the client and does have sex with the other. It certainly does happen, granted it's probably still a minority of people (I hope so). Prostitution is kind of legal here, brothels are fully legal for example, this is very different but it was openly promoted and people got mad and reported it. It had to shut down (the public adds had to be removed), but the business still exists. Here sugar daddy is mostly sexless and I don't think there's as much as in Japan. Japan clearly has some major problems with social & sexual issues, hence why their porn, prostitution and sugar daddy business is so huge there.
