  1. This is just dishonest, but I don't think it's on purpose. Brussels is like most capitals, there's good & bad. You showed a glimpse of the good, showed a lot of a small part of the bad. Gare the Midi sucks, There's lots of good to show, but yeah there's also quite a bit of bad parts, Molenbeek isn't too bad if you act like a normal person, I would say some other areas in Brussels are way worse and yes Brussels has red light districts, the bad parts are usually drug selling areas. There's the good areas of Brussels, there's quite a few, but they're usually more expensive, you go outside of Brussels, it's nice and it is safe. I live right under Brussels, for me as a local, I find Brussels very safe, I speak from experience, from my friends experience. Food, you can eat very well in Brussels, at democratic prices, you just need to know where, you can go out safely, etc... A local guide could have shown you the true face of Brussels, good & bad, whatever you wanted to see, I don't think you gave it a fair shot.
