  1. Point num 1 might be underestimated, I think it's a really big problem within society. My own dad is one of those people who thinks sleep is bad, sleep is the enemy, my mom on the other side sleeps as much as possible, possibly sleeps too much. I really wish my dad didn't fight sleeping, it's pretty clear this has taken a toll on him. During covid my dad and now that he's retired he doesn't work most of the time, he has no excuse, yet I find him sleeping on the couch at noon, same goes for the evening, if he's in the couch watching tv, that's a big chance that I'll find him hunched sleeping. About half of the time or more, he's not able to simply finish a movie without falling asleep, I don't think this is normal. I sleep pretty well. If nothing went wrong, I'll sleep exactly 7 hours and I'm good. If I'm exceptionally tired, I will sleep more, such times are always because of some intense physical activity. I don't have a regular shedules, however if I go to bed at X time, I will usually wake up 7 hours later. I more of less apply most of the things you advised. Since I was a teenagers, shutters keep the room pitch dark, I do fall asleep even with light, I've tested this, but I still prefer pitch dark, I also do most days try to apply light on my face, if I can direct sunlight when I wake up, I try to do this before anything else, truth is I can't always do this, the sun isn't always there, I'm not always at home, etc... The routine part I just can't do, it's impossible with my work, the best, the closest I manage is those religious 7 hours of sleep with no interuptions. I don't drink coffee ever, in late years I barely drink alcohol, last beer I had was in August 2023. I have alcohol on special occassions, but I actively try to avoid it, I only drink with when I'm with friends, but now I just stick to non alcoholic drinks. Temperature & enviroment are good, they're not as extreme as in this video, but I absolutely love my bed, I absolutely love my memory foam pillows. I do admit guilty to doing other things in bed (the obvious 2 people thing and I also enjoy watching tv in bed, these are 2 habits I just enjoy too much) I absolutely love my bedroom, it's the safest most relaxing place ever, it is my own temple. I do think, in the future I might look for a place to separate bedroom & some other stuff. I admit to at times being overstimuated by ideas and things in my bedroom. I do gather data when I can, I test out stuff, etc... this is one of the many reasons why I barely drink alcohol amongs many things. I thing I do think one thing is fair to mention, which you didn't: some people are easy sleepers and some people sleep less easily. I've fallen asleep in places that weren't confortable, but I slept just fine, best example that comes to mind: sleeping in tents outdoors, I sleep just fine on the ground in a sleeping bad in a tent. I don't fight sleep, I sleep when I can. I am not a morning person, I much prefer evening & night. Through my life, morning is usually when bad things happened, meanwhile evening & night were mostly when good things happened. I prefer night because I'm all alone, nobody bothers me, there's no sun, there's not too much noise either.
