Swede here. You did well. There’s a left party leader here that mentioned she didn’t like nordstream because of the power it gave putin. I have never leaned to the left but I will admit she saw something that I failed to see. In Sweden, we still get some oil from russia because the contract says that if we reject a shipment, we still have to pay and then they could sell it elsewhere. I hope they expire really soon.

Pretty much abandoned in Sweden. Induction stoves is what we use when we buy new stoves.

There’s more snow in Stockholm than where you are and more is expected. Anyway, what I want to say is that once I realised russia sold gas, I thought they would bemore focused on business than retarded socialist ideas. In Sweden, russia never made headline news and I felt it was confusing when putin came back as president. Not surprising since russia wasn’t interesting to us other than a few tv series based on their classic books that they had turned to films and I liked them but it also ended there. Sadly, the idea that they would be more business oriented was wrong. What’s worse is that they don’t mind frozen conflicts with their neighbors which they think makes it possible to control them. The American idea to reset relations with russia must have been alien to putin, something that never has crossed his mind. I think it’s good not to import oil and gas from russia.

Do we really need that gas? We used to use gas for cooking in Sweden but now we use electricity and induction is ideal and popular. Much more efficient than gas. You need electricity and we should focus on hydropower and wind turbines to make electricity. Hopefully, it will be very easy to sell electricity from any eu country to any other eu country.

@thomastoadie9006 Correct, they are nobody’s ally. You can’t live with them and you can’t live without them either.
