  13. You did use a year 0 in the Jewish years though meaning that your anno mundai is 1 year less than what it should be in the BC years. AM1 is the equivalent of 3761BC. There should be 419 years between 350BC and AD70 and 585 years between 516BC an AD70 since there is no year 0. You do have to subtract 1 if there is no year 0. It is if there is a year 0 that you do nothing.

There are citations on the page though. Mind you I am not sure how reliable the citations are. There is a 5 maccabees though. There are books that do contain 5 maccabees.

If I have to use one though I do prefer BC/AD because that is what I am used to. I am a Roman pagan. If people want to use the BCE/CE system I am alright with that because I do know what they are taking about. The reason I like the astronomical calendar is because of the year 0. If there is a year 0 it works mathematically with the leap years. It also justifies the decades starting when the year ends in a 0.
