16:25 actually you would actually end up with his father's half sister Caroline since William's father's father's 3rd marriage was considered null and void because his divorce from his 1st wife was not valid therefore making William's father illegitimate taking him out of line

15:50 you should do a video expanding on that genealogy

@alcachofa6863 Osterlind had an older brother Friedrich (1931-2000) so it would have actually passed to him in 1965 after that it would actually pass to his son Johann Frederick Alexandra Zu Wied (b.1960) his heirs would be his nephews Maximilian (b.1999) and Friedrich (b.2001)

@alcachofa6863 Margherita died in 2022 so it would be Maria Beatrice now

I like the idea that in an alternative universe Johann Frederick Alexandra Zu Wied is king and the Jacobite claim is Maria Beatrice

Maybe the lord protector after Oliver Cromwell could be Bridget rather than Richard

@alcachofa6863 even if it was not James II being Catholic influencing the act someone else would have influenced it. Probably one Charles's (Sophia's brother) descendants.

I like the idea that the reason it passes to Sophia is because she gets it by conquest from Bridget Cromwell.

@alcachofa6863 actually if you just used absolute primogeniture from Henry VII James I/VI would still have become king anyway. Although he would have been James II of England. After Henry VII it would pass to his daughter Margaret then it would pass to her son James V (who would be James I of England in that reality) then it would pass to his daughter Mary Queen of Scots then her son James I/VI. it would go Henry VII (1485-1509) Margaret (1509-1541) James I (1541-1542) Mary (1542-1587) James II (1587-1625)
