@arthurbulan there are 10 types of people. Those who understand binary and those who do not.

9:37 that is at the equator. At the poles it is 40007.863KM.

@louaytheking9989 how many inches in a mile. Selena Gomez - tell me something I don't know.

We British do use a hybrid. We are not getting rid of the British pint. That is British culture.

@GeoffBosco true that. 12 has more subdividers. Subdividers of 10: 1, 2, 5. Subdividers of 12: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 (it is a fraction bonanza).

@GeoffBosco for multiplication 10 is brilliant. You just stick a zero at the end or move the decimal point. Job done. It is a number for idiots. For division it is rubbish. Al Murray paraphrase.

3:35 let's introduce metric time. 10 hours in a day. 100 minutes in a hour. 100 seconds in a minute. 10 days in a week. 10 months in a year.

@@jensnobel5843 a British pint is 568.26125ml. We have 330ml cans and bottles of drinks as well.

18:27 the imperial march

I am British and I support the metric system. Back of Brussels.
2
tranduy2668 time is measured in imperial. 24 hours a day. 60 minutes in an hour. 60 seconds in a minute. 7 days in a week. 12 months in a year. If it was metric it would be 10 hours in a day. 100 minutes in an hour. 100 seconds in a minute. Not enough room on the watch for the last 2. 10 days in a week (not enough room on the calendar). 10 months in a year.
2
1:12 the British pint is a cultural thing. To me though the definition of a pint is 568.26125ml.
2
Lets convert to metric time. 10 hours in a day. 100 minutes in an hour (there is not enough room on the watch for that). 100 seconds in a minute. 10 days in a week (Not enough room on the calendar for that). 10 months in a year.

British imperial units are bigger than metric units. Inch is slightly more than twice the size of a centimeter. Mile is slightly more than 1½ times of a kilometer. The yard does fall shy of the meter. That means there is more of them. The world is a bigger place in acres. Al Murray paraphrase.

In the UK stones is a measurement. It is 14 pounds.

16:56 it is actually 4.08 194258/454609%. I have to use fractions because the decimals go on forever. I do not know about forever yet they do go on for a long time.
2
16:40 it is actually 28.4130625ml. 1 UK pint is 568.26125ml.

9:46 40007.863÷4=10001.96575. It is actually 0.196575mm out. It is better that it was a bit out because 1 inch is 2.54cm. If it was accurate it would be 2 21584274/40007863cm (just above 2.5395cm). the conversion (2.54cm) is a lot easier to remember. It would also make the pound just over 453.32498 (possibly irrational number or the fraction is to big for my calculator to display it) grams. I used 1.000196575³ for that because the weight is dependent on the volume so I assumed 1kg to be the weight of 10.00196575cm×10.00196575cm×10.00196575cm.
2
Mind you on saying that the modern definition of an inch is 2.54 centimetres. If it had have been defined if they got it correct an inch would be the equivalent of 2.5404993005cm If they were to have defined a pound if the measurement had been more correct then it probably would have been 453.32498 grams which is the equivalent of 453.5923696290592439615488059696875 grams. The actual pound is 453.59237 grams.
2
It would also make the circumference at the equator 40067 5633179/40007863 km
