Not many cheap VHF light portable radios on the market, I think they will stick with what they mainly use now and what you show on your photos and thats cheapo UHF radios, I hear them all the time in the summer on UHF PMR, I think you will hear some under the misguided belief that they are legally using them when in reality all they need is super light PMR radios like the UV3R as shown, paragliders are all about the weight, the lighter the better. Another interesting video though mate, cheers.
