  1. 3 inch folding pocket knife, legal to carry, if a dog is locked on and won't let go there are places on a dog where you can use the knife to make it let go very quickly, dog might die but you might have saved a human life, remember though if asked why your carrying a knife you must never say it's for self defence even self defence from a dog attack because you are not supposed to carry anything for this reason, yes I know ridiculous.

Same argument was made by handgun owners here in the UK except they had a stronger argument because legally held hands guns weren't involved in hardly any deaths or injuries compared to dog attacks, sadly the actions of a few individuals ruined it for law abiding decent folks, ppl are going to say nobody should need to worry that someone is going to pull a handgun on them and others would say neither should they worry they are going to be attacked and mauled to death by an out of control dog.

  3. Yes scrap the dangerous dog act and replace it with muzzles for any public outing for any dog and unlimited fines and prison time for owners whose dogs attack or kill, you can own a lion for all I care as long as it's muzzled and has no claws.

I used to love owning and shooting handguns, I would also never hurt a fly but because of the irresponsible actions of a few people my hobby was gone over night, dog attacks and deaths from dog attacks outweigh the deaths and injury from legally held firearms by 1000 to 1, they will have to ban this breed and also bring in muzzle laws for all but the very tiny dogs in public, so sadly the actions of a few idiots will ruin the lives of law abiding and decent ppl like you and others on here.

  5. I was bitten by a jack Russell and it was nasty, same bite on a young child, vulnerable or elderly person and it could be fatal, muzzles in public like many parts of Europe, i would prefer no dogs in public but they will never go that far.

  6. Yup muzzles should be mandatory in public or if you let your dog off the lead in the back garden because dogs escape from gardens, also the owners need to be made more responsible for the attacks.

All dogs should be muzzled in public and a thousand pounds fine or removal of the animal from the owner, that's first and foremost, I was bitten in the ankle by a jack Russell and it needed stitches and tetanus, nobody should have to fear being attacked by a dog in a public place, I know carry something that will definitely stop a dog attacking me and I warn owners with dogs off leads especially when I am with my kids that I will act with deadly force if their dog attacks or bites, I just don't understand why the government don't act until significant numbers of ppl die or are wounded, all dogs muzzle and lead in all public places else lose the right to exercise dogs in public places.

  8. Yup folding pocket knife, legal to carry, simply check Google for vital organs and main arteries for a dog, remember these locations and you should be able to get the dog to release as a last resort, I know a lot of dog owners who carry when walking their own dogs for this reason.
