  6. Yeah, that is why the training actually started secretly in the US many months ago, now Britain is basically just continuing this on F-16 aa well and other fighter jets. In reality, Ukraine would most certainly be ready this year.

  8. These are very unique and wise words here. This is quite unlike a lot of what I have seen before on GB news over the last few weeks in terms of its style and the use of poetry. I hope these words are adhered to and learned from. I think King Charles will do alright, I hope he is able to see the weight of history on his shoulders rather than shrugging it off so easily as he did decades ago. We can only hope, that he might in fact repair, some of what has been lost, rather than just something to the history books.

  12. What these three kids said he was really shocking. It seemed like they just didn’t care at all. Just spouting the same rhetoric about bringing in everybody no matter what, without actually thinking deeper about what if they were saying.😨😰 you can’t just bring in everyone and anyone. Not everyone is a freaking refugee, sometimes just an illegal immigrant under the guise of it. and the fact that one of the match she said they aren’t doing any harm, is woefully uneducated and incredibly shocking considering everything that’s happened over the years and it’s happening right now.😱🥺 Now these are the kind of kids who need proper education. I’m 28yo and got out of university 2 years ago and most people were younger than me when I started and could obviously see everybody was thinking like this or those that were ‘uneducated ironically’. All listening to their deluded brainwashed hearts rather than actual LOGIC. When I was leaving mainstream education in my teens, things were already looking bad, and it looks like they have gotten even worse after all.

I really don’t understand why, even for today’s short attention span media generation like myself, King Charles has decided to shorten the ceremony down to an hour and a half. This means it is now less than half the length of what Queen Elizabeth coronation was. It really makes me worried how much might be lost from the ceremony we aren’t even aware of due to it happening before many of us were born that only perhaps some of our parents remember. I truly hope we will be filled in on this. Who knows though, perhaps William will restore some things if he so sees fit. I support a new king, but I do believe he is perhaps making too many unnecessary concessions here in order to try and fit in with a generation that, of whom I am also a part of due to being in my mid 20s, are already not very well educated on our nations history and Monarchy in the first place.😩😔

One of their works has now even been made into a MEGA HIT Netflix series called Arcane. This’s why gaming is soo important. This isn’t just a ‘youngster’ thing, sorry.   21. Exactly. Why would people get so angry about something that was purely made as a suggestion or an option for people to do!? There’s nothing wrong with that at all. Especially as it is a ceremony linked closely as well to religion. After all, we have similar suggestions, if not requests made to people in churches every Sunday as well, when it comes to praying, singing hymns and sermons. It only makes sense. So why would people have a problem with this one when it is purely an option? I for one though WILL indeed be one of those people swearing allegiance to the King on the coronation.

  22. I think I will pledge my allegiance, mainly because even if you might disagree with perhaps how he is going about things, he is still our sovereign. And we can’t be sure 100% what he will do down the line. He does support British culture, but he seems to be more comfortable than most to let some things slip.This could be understandable from his upbringing, seeing things from the inside, which we do not get the opportunity to see. As we’ve known for a very long time, he is quite happy to do a lot of these things in the belief that it will help. The monarchy remain more connected or relevant to the average Jo. No problem, of course is that if you get rid of too much thinking only of the present, you are not realising you’ve lost a lot of culture in the future. Things could always get better and might bring some stuff back.

  23. I do believe this is indeed happening. I myself am an atheist, but the principles of the Church of England across Britain in how we live our lives and how they work in this country are quite different from those of the Catholic Church and I wish for those very same rights and principles to be continued anyway in our everyday lives. Or at least how some of them are used to be more commonly followed in terms of how we treat our fellow man. Rather than the whole judgey way you get with the Catholic Church like what you see in America. I do believe that our traditions and culture of being eroded, either purely by laziness, as well as intentionally by outside forces who claim to be benign. It naturally happens unfortunately, when it particular nation of a group of people decide to be no longer determined to protect what they hold close and just want to get on with their everyday lives. Then, when you have new people coming in or of a new generation who are more reinvigorated, they are more ready to impose their ways or beliefs through lack of education or different there of onto the previous generation, or those who were living in the country first. This seems to repeat itself throughout history and through lack of education, and the energy being drained from the nation to maintain the same momentum of just no longer giving a care anymore, this has happened here too. Basically, you can only care about something for so long, before you eventually get tired and can’t keep up the fight anymore.Then, when you have people coming in, who are more invigorated than you, and have fresh beliefs or are younger than you, they inevitably can impose them on your own way of life, or other people without enough protections in place, whether the incumbent people intend for this to happen or not. They aren’t even doing it consciously, but just simply as an effect of something that happens in all humans and other animals went introduced to a new environment throughout the centuries and eons. The question is, do we wish for this to fully happen here as well!?

  24. This reeeeally should be thought more in schools for looonger periods of time. I’m 27 now and when I was still in general education schools we covered stuff SOO BRIEFLY. I had to motivate myself to go out and learn the rest. ‘Can we say our fellow students en mass will do the say.’😔. When I look at my fellow peers, I think it does explain why so many people only look at small bits of history from one perspective that one side is loudest about, and feel it is so un-relevant to them in the mayhem of the 21st-century.

  25. We in Britain feel the same. We absolutely loved the coronation. It’s just that the presenters coverage outside of the BBC that can be quite disgraceful or obsessed with hitting quoters to press the public’s buttons. There was nothing wrong with the ceremony or the family involved. The only shame was that it wasn’t a little bit longer. I would absolutely love it. If Prince William’s coronation is back to being perhaps closer to the length Queen Elizabeth the second‘s coronation was.

  32. I will 100% be one of the people swearing allegiance to the King on the day of the coronation. I might actually even be tempted to post this online of myself doing so. It has been speculated in fact that many people will be doing this as sort of a collage of the day and of the nation.

Buuut she was also a woman in the army and that requires a certain amount of backbone in the long run, and your fellows will always go after what they can that you’ll have as your weak spot as a stress reliever and hazing. Sadly this was hers most likely as it’s literally on the surface, and if you can’t deal with that which women in the army really can’t do as well, then they shouldn’t be in some of these positions. Certainly at least not long term. DEFINITELY not the infantry. Not unless they’re absolutely among those truly exceptional few.

Honestly, I’d prefer if people just lived by the base principles that are more laid down in the Church of England Protestant church, but without the whole God thing. i’m not even bothered really, that the king is supposed to be the defender of the faith for Britain, as he doesn’t act like a pope or bishop, imposing those wills on people within that sense, But if it was necessary to allow more connection with a more diverse or multifaith nation, I wouldn’t honestly be bothered if churches in Britain in general posed less of a central role, and the king wasn’t the head of the church as the defender of the faith anymore. I feel like that’s the one concession I’d be okay with. Mainly because it also would mean that the king or queen wouldn’t necessarily get into hot water, if they didn’t believe in a God. After all, it feels a bit presumptuous to assume that every single member of the royal family who would be in line for succession, would automatically believe in a God when many of us if not, the majority do not. So logically speaking, would be in a lot of trouble if the supposed defender of the faith didn’t actually believe in the Christian God in the first place. So removing this necessity I think for their sake we make a lot of sense.

I am also indeed in agreement with the first commentator that we should definitely do this in schools. Like you said, American students have to pledge or are given the option to pledge their allegiance to the flag every day. Surely for one goddamn day of our lives, this can be an option here to to the sovereign. It makes no sense we are so lax in our traditions and loyalty these days.

  46. It’s good to hear this. Although also obviously disappointing that this isn’t being talked about anywhere on the mainstream media. I haven’t heard about this at all until now. She really is just a massive problem for Britain as a whole let alone NATO. I keep wondering all the time when Scottish supporters finally realise what the hell kind of person she is and boot her out like the last chat. We are supposed to be all united as one, yet she is the one who is causing divisions the most in the north for the people there and for the rest of the country.

  47. Jesus christ, man has been on hunger strike for over 20 days, and I haven’t heard anything about this on any of the other news outlets whatsoever. They pay attention to anybody else protesting for literally anything else apart from this because it isn’t in line with the political views, even though what he is doing it for is completely just. At this rate, I’m betting they wouldn’t even pay attention to this man on hunger strike for a just cause even if he died doing it. Shame on them.   50. I will indeed swear allegiance to King Charles on the day of the Coronation. BTW I'm 27yo of the last millennials and first of the Gen-Z, and I think its only right to do so on that day of all days. It'll be a chance as well to bring the public even more into the ceremony than before and might help to indoctrinate more people from an early age as we once did when we were more united. Make it more relevant to them, and one way to do that could indeed be to get us all more involved. Other democratic nations of all types like to do this, 'so why not us again as it once was'. I cannot wait for the Coronation to begin. This's going to be an incredible day to remember.
