I do believe he could’ve backed out of it but he just felt that this was the lesser of two negative so he’s really trying to make this a positive experience for everyone as best he can and try and lower the financial impact of it. Plus if he can make eventual profits from robots which is the long-term goal, then that should eventually pay off the impact of buying Twitter.
