Here here. If anything the other people in the world who should be receiving the other big priority alongside our own citizens are those from Ukraine and Hong Kong. Those feel like no-brainers.

Very true unfortunately. We wish to have good intentions but unfortunately as we’ve seen they are now becoming more and more exploited and if we don’t be careful our landscape of our country will be irreversibly changed. We are starting to see glimpses of this in north and north-west Europe and many local communities are starting to push back.

Well we do electronically tag people who have committed criminal acts or are under suspicion even without having as she committed a confirmed crime, therefore are required to be under house arrest or stay within a certain area. So I don’t see really ethically why we can’t also extend this to illegal migrants who have come via dangerous routes. It only makes sense really. It’s simply a case that we haven’t done this before therefore it feels uncertain or new to us. Same for everything really, but we can pull expects to be more and accepted norm within a couple of years.

I agree. By comparison to everything else, this measure feels quite light and if anything feels like something that could have and should’ve been done quite a long time ago. I mean, if you do have somebody who has illegally coming to the country, and we can’t necessarily keep them all in the same location, then it makes sense to electronically be able to locate them. We might not all necessarily like the idea, but it just makes sense as it is simply something we are used to. After a few years we probably just look at it the same way as any other security measure. We need to be able to take in as many people as we reasonably can, whilst still maintaining the majority of our environment and security of our country, as the citizens of this country still have to come first. We need to make sure priorities are kept in check. Right now, reasonably, we should really be making priority for of the citizens from Ukraine and Hong Kong rather than making priority for just absolutely anyone rather than those who need it most.
