I hope he is able to do that and not be forced to also buy the company. It’s like a person going fishing, reeling in a big fish, only for the fish to turn out to be a shark and it tries to pull you in and eat you. Twitter here is the shark. That’s why I really hope he is able to bash this thing right on the nose and get out with only a few bruises. Either way though, he is still shown even more clearly the weakness of Twitter.

Well he hadn’t bought it yet and he only essentially put down what was a placeholder. They cannot force him to buy the company as well as suing him on top of that, so I do believe that Elon will hopefully win this, although being a couple hundred million out of the bank. In the end, he will still come out on top and Twitter will look worse than ever

And yet, all his other ventures are skyrocketing in value when he is actually making a change in the world. What’s the rest of us seem to be constantly ungrateful. We should be all praising him for his efforts and yet we are just being selfish treating him like any other billionaire. He may have that title, but that isn’t money for him to be able to spend at random.

What are you talking about. He really wants to go through with this and have the money to do so. It’s not his fault that Twitter as usual was a lying but in of itself right to the end. I hope he is able to get out of this without also been forced to still buy the company on top of the extra $1 billion.

Here here. I occasionally use Twitter, but on the whole I wouldn’t dare represent them with a 10 foot pole.

@hollywoodstories Maaaaybe because unlike all the others he is actually trying to stick to his promises no matter what (even at the cost of his own money from day one) and he’s actually making a change. Whilst people are constantly being ungrateful for this change and want to tear him down. Thankfully, those sorts of people will not win this.

Yeah except what he’s saying actually makes total sense. I really hope he can get out of this.

No it actually was genuine. He just made it look like a stunt in order to catch them by surprise so he could sweep in and buy it. Unfortunately, because of this the company didn’t have any accurate data to give him and just gave him the basic public numbers rather than any in-depth information about the amount of bot accounts they had. He sees this now and they are desperate for him to buy it so they can jump off the sinking ship that is Twitter’s value.

Yep. It shows their true face. They were actually secretly desperate to sell, and now that Elon has exposed it, they are desperate for him to take it so they can jump off the sinking ship like the rats they are before its value just depletes.
