This is quite appalling. I don’t mean in the sense that they got the death penalty, but in the way in which they received it and how the procedures behind it are done. Hanging is certainly quite effective, if it’s done right, but still can leave damage to the body, there is no guarantee it will be painless and the fact that they don’t give you an expected date of your death is so cruel to the inmates. Both of these really should change. I am a big fan of Japan but somehow I was unaware of even this.😓 Big disappointment.
