@michaelsmith3823 Oh yeah like Trump was going to do anything different. At least you have a president now who cares about the rest of the world.

We really want to help the best we can. I just wish the UK government would at least get involved more with this right now. Even with Covid, they could still spare more than they are right now to help out in putting more pressure on the UN to take further action.

We want to help as best we can, but with everything else going on right now we literally have no idea what to do. Both when it comes to actions against the military or putting pressure at the UN to sending a possible security force to put the coupe down.

katlekho umphela I know things are better here in the west mate, but you don’t have to rub it in their faces like that. It doesn’t set a good precedent or image at all. Things will change. For all we know it could be the revers someday.

This is surprisingly good news. After Facebook’s recent actions in Australia with blocking Australian news sites, they now come back with doing this awesome move in Myanmar. Fingers crossed that this actually helps the protesters more but it does negatively impact them. Just hope this doesn’t mean that Facebook gets somehow blocked in the country itself. Although I doubt very much the military coup has that kind of technical know-how yet. They don’t seem like the brightest bunch. It’s certainly easier to turn off the Internet than it is to selectively Block individual whole sites in a technical sense.
