Well, considering its size, and the satellite technology we have now, I think if it was floating on the surface of the sea it would be relatively easy now. But yeah, at the very bottom of the sea at this depth, where even radio and sonar waves can struggle, it makes sense it is so difficult. Although it also still feels crazy that considering how many are probably involved in search right now, that they still can’t find it. How bloody far must this thing have travelled after it went silent!?

I really do admire the effort being employed now to rescue these people in time, and one way, or another, even if time does run out, the effort must still intensified to at least get them back to the surface. I just worry that all of the vessels searching both above and below the water might interfere with each other’s detection systems. It’s bound to make things harder I bet in some places when you have to filter out the other vessels from just one potentially inactive one on the bottom of the ocean. The Titan isn’t even made of a lot of metal, so that’s just making it even more difficult.

@SethiozProject I feel that. You’d think at the very least there would be a contingency plan by now that would automatically be put into action in case such a sub went missing to speed up the process. We keep saying that it’s hard to map the bottom of the ocean, yet at the same time we don’t seem to be doing any efforts to actually change this.
