Again, I think people keep forgetting the fact that this information that’s apparently publicly available, isn’t exactly easy to accumulate into an easy to understand format that the average every day global citizen has the willingness to look up or understand with their busy lives. Putting it on Twitter, makes it far far easier for everyone to see and potentially for the wrong person who could mean Elon or others home to see it. That’s the clear difference here. It’s like the online equivalent of a government official saying that information was made publicly available about recent policy, but then burying it as the last piece of paper at the bottom of a very high stack, so the person responsible for reading it will be disenfranchised to read the whole thing and might not notice. So yeah, I do understand Elon’s concerned about this Twitter page. However, he should’ve negotiated with the guy further, and actually perhaps have been willing to actually pay the money to have it taken down.

I’ve already been tracking the story over the past few hours. So what I’m saying here isn’t entirely new. What I’m more surprised about really is that it is taking the BBC this long to actually catch up with the story. It’s taken the BBC news channel half a day or waaay longer to actually friendly talk about it.
