Yeah I heard this confirmed on another video. Quite shocked to say the least. One earth did they decide to wait 15 years? They said it was apparently to protect the national heritage of the site and its security, for 15 years feels way too long, so if anything I find it to be rather suspicious. It shouldn’t be, but 15 years really is just too long and if anything will probably be an enquiry into it from a lot of people in the archaeology world as to why this happened. If it was me I would only keep the site a secret for about five or seven years at maximum.

This is another incredible maritime find that will be noted forever in the history books. I can only imagine what will be taken up next from the seabed. The only thing I’m surprised they didn’t mention, is that apparently they first discovered the Gloucester in 2007. ‘2007’! Are you freaking kidding me. That was 15 years ago now. I genuinely find that quite appalling. Apparently they said they want to keep it hidden because of security to protect the location of the site because of its extremely high heritage value, but 15 years definitely feels like too much of a stretch. People have literally be born and become teenagers during that time. It should’ve been at most five years, so I find this to be very peculiar indeed.
